Community Grants Scheme

Seaton Town Council sets aside a budget each year to support local organizations, via its Community Grants Scheme. All requests for financial assistance should be made using the grant application form, which should be completed and returned via email to deputyclerk@seaton.gov.uk or posted to Seaton Town Council, Marshlands, Harbour Road, Seaton, EX12 2LT. No other form of request will be considered.

The Council’s has produced a Community Grants Policy on the Scheme,  including guidelines on grant funding to assist organizations in preparing their applications.

Applications are considered at the Council’s meetings throughout the year, but has a limited budget, therefore early applications are advisable. The budget for community grants available in 2023-24 is £8,000. Once an application is received from a group or organization, no further application will usually be considered from the same group or organization for a period of 2 years from the date a grant is made in respect of that application.

Additionally, in 2023, the Council allocated approved a simple additional scheme to assist community groups wishing to hold events to commemorate the Coronation of King Charles III. Details of grants awarded are listed here.
