Community Grants Scheme

Seaton Town Council sets aside a budget each year to support local organizations, via its Community Grants Scheme. All requests for financial assistance should be made using the grant application form , which should be completed and returned via email to deputyclerk@seaton.gov.uk or posted to Seaton Town Council, Marshlands, Harbour Road, Seaton, EX12 2LT. No other form of request will be considered.

The Council’s has produced a Community Grants Policy on the Scheme,  including guidelines on grant funding to assist organizations in preparing their applications.

Applications are considered at the Council’s meetings throughout the year, but has a limited budget, therefore early applications are advisable. The budget for community grants available in 2023-24 is £8,000. Once an application is received from a group or organization, no further application will usually be considered from the same group or organization for a period of 2 years from the date a grant is made in respect of that application.

Additionally, in 2023, the Council allocated approved a simple additional scheme to assist community groups wishing to hold events to commemorate the Coronation of King Charles III. Details of grants awarded are listed here.
