Seaton Town Council Community Consultation 2025 – have your say on Seaton’s future!

Seaton Town Council wants to hear from you!

Over the next few years, local government reorganisation will mean that some services and assets could be transferred to Seaton Town Council. However, keeping them or improving them will come with real costs. We are inviting residents to take part in a new town-wide survey to help shape the future of local services, facilities and assets.

This important consultation comes at a time of real change for local government in Devon. With Local Government Reorganisation expected to conclude by 2027/28, decisions about who manages and funds key services will need to be made soon. Seaton Town Council wants those decisions to be guided by you, the people who live, work and spend time here.

The survey will explore your priorities for Seaton’s parks, play areas, public spaces, facilities and local services, alongside the financial realities that come with maintaining and improving them. The results will form a robust evidence base to guide future planning, support funding bids and shape budget decisions.

Your voice matters. Whether you’re a long-time resident, a business owner, part of a local group, or new to Seaton, we want to hear from you. By sharing your views, you’ll be helping the council plan responsibly for the future, balancing ambition with affordability, and ensuring that local decisions reflect local priorities. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey so you can help Seaton to thrive in years to come. Paper copies are available in the Library, Tourist Information Centre / Council Office, the Post Office and Seaton League of Friends.

Thank you.
