Water Safety
The safest place to use inflatables is close to the shore, within easy reach from the shoreline and within the area marked by the four yellow buoys that denotes the area with an eight knot speed restriction. These buoys are found parallel to the shore from Seaton Hole (West) to the Axe Yacht Club (East).
Do not take your inflatable into the harbour or across the busy Harbour Mouth. This is a busy harbour with unpredictable river and tidal streams that make accessing the entrance dangerous.
It is dangerous to launch an inflatable when the wind is blowing from the land to the sea (offshore winds) as inflatables can very quickly be blown out to sea. Do not launch or use in big waves or heavy surf, ensure children are closely supervised and take with you a means of calling for help.
If you find yourself in an emergency situation or spot someone else in trouble, you should call 999 or 112 and ask for the coastguard. How to call for Help at Sea

About Seaton, Devon
Seaton is the only gateway town to the Jurassic coast where rocks from all three geological periods can be viewed in their natural environment: fossil bearing Jurassic rocks to the east, the vibrant Triassic cliffs just before Seaton harbour and the striking white outcrop of Cretaceous chalk cliffs of Beer.
