Welcome to Seaton
Welcome to Seaton!
Set in a landscape of outstanding natural beauty, Seaton is the only gateway town to the Jurassic Coast, where rocks from all three geological periods can be viewed in their natural environment. Part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and overlooking Lyme Bay, Seaton beach is over a mile long and ideal for swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking and fishing.
Surrounded by beautiful countryside and home to the Seaton Wetlands Nature Reserve, the South West Coast Path runs alongside the stunning beach. A pedestrianised town centre full of independent shops and cafes, together with a thriving community events venue and the popular Seaton Tramway, means there is plenty to see and do!
Toilets
The new toilet block on West Walk opened in July 2025 and has three disabled toilets one of which is a Changing Places Toilet. The CPT provides a toilet for people with complex physical needs who cannot use standard accessible toilets, such as people with spinal injuries, muscular dystrophy and MS. It has extra equipment including a hoist, a peninsula toilet, a changing station and space for carers to attend. The CPT is accessible by phoning a dedicated number which provides a code to enter on the keypad and it is currently free to use. All the disabled toilets have wide doors, handrails and baby changing stations. None of the disabled toilets are accessible by using a radar key. This means that anyone needing a wider space can use them.
