Cheryl moved to Seaton in 2019 and has spent the last year getting to know what the town has to offer to new residents. Apart from realising a lifelong dream of living by the sea, she chose Seaton for the range of facilities on offer. This includes the shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs, as well as the entertainment on offer at The Gateway and the other attractions and events held in the town.
She is keen to explore initiatives that support the existing businesses and attract new ones and is passionate about minimising our use of resources by increasing recycling and reducing waste.
Cheryl gained business experience through a varied career in finance with large companies and from setting up her own company providing project management services. She hopes that her life skills and business acumen can help the Town Council’s ambition to promote Seaton as a year round tourist destination.
About Seaton, Devon
Seaton is the only gateway town to the Jurassic coast where rocks from all three geological periods can be viewed in their natural environment: fossil bearing Jurassic rocks to the east, the vibrant Triassic cliffs just before Seaton harbour and the striking white outcrop of Cretaceous chalk cliffs of Beer.
