I have lived in Seaton since 2003 and I’m very pleased to have been co-opted as a Seaton Town Councillor by my fellow councillors having served previously as a Town Councillor and also as an elected East Devon District Councillor.

Seaton, as a seaside town, has many of the challenges faced by coastal towns throughout the UK at the moment and is very dependent on tourism to help the local economy so we need, within the financial constraints we have, to make the town a desirable destination for visitors. I also care passionately about provision for younger residents and also what can be done in helping with preventative measures in health care to help issues becoming acute and requiring hospital admissions. That is why I currently chair the Seaton Hospital Steering Group where we have submitted a business plan to utilise the empty wing at the hospital for the benefit of the community. As at the date of producing this biography in September 2024 we are in negotiations with NHS Property Services and NHS Devon Integrated Care Board regarding the business plan.

I worked for 35 years in the financial services industry for various companies in the UK and abroad at senior managerial levels and hope to be able to utilise those skills working with councillors and officers at Town, District and County level on projects that will help Seaton in the future in what will be , no doubt, challenging times.
