Cllr Haydn Boehm

Address:

Having lived and worked in Germany and America, Haydn moved to Seaton from Cambridge in 2017, having fallen in love with Seaton’s community spirit, facilities, and outstanding natural beauty.
A keen runner, Haydn joined the Axe Valley Runners and since 2022 has been the Chairman of the club. A regular participant and volunteer at Seaton Parkrun, Haydn joined the Seaton Parkrun Core Team in 2023. He is also a member of the Pure Endurance Triathlon club.
In 2021 Haydn became Vice President of the GB Mölkky Federation and relocated the annual UK Championship to Seaton, which last year attracted visitors from Finland (the home of Mölkky), London, Cheshire, Jersey, and Scotland. The immediate goal is to grow the event year on year in Seaton, and having joined the International Mölkky Federation the long-term view is for Seaton to host the European and World Championships. To develop a firm foundation for this Haydn is developing the Seaton Mölkky Super League.
A PhD in Organic Chemistry, Haydn started out as a senior research scientist in the pharmaceutical discovery industry. Now a chartered marketer, Haydn holds several leadership, management, and process improvement qualifications, and has spent the last 20 years at senior director level for commercial, strategic marketing, and innovation roles for global life science companies. Haydn acts as a politically independent councillor and looks to bring all of his experience and expertise to help Seaton develop into the newly discovered treasure along the Jurassic Coast.
