Ken Beer was born in Surrey, had a grammar school education in London, trained as an accountant then moved into sales. Ken worked for many large international companies and travelled around the world as a sales director. Ken finished his career as general manager for a large European group based in the UK. He was also elected as the Chairman of a European Standards Committee for BSI on safety in research laboratories. Ken has been a Seaton Town Councillor since 2013 and served as Mayor and Chairman from March 2019 to May 2021 and as Deputy Mayor and Deputy Chairman from May 2021 to May 2022.
